Compulsory Acquisition Order No. 2 2025
Notice is hereby given that KILDARE COUNTY COUNCIL (hereinafter referred to as the “Local Authority”) in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by Section 17 & 18 of the Derelict Sites Act 1990 (as amended), has on Friday, 18 July 2025 made a Vesting Order whereby the derelict site, described in the Schedule hereto will on Wednesday, 3 September 2025 VEST in the Local Authority in fee simple free from encumbrances and all estates, rights, titles and interests of whatsoever kind.
And further take notice that a copy of the Vesting Order and a map of the derelict site described in the Schedule hereto has been deposited at Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, at the address below and may be inspected there during the hours of 9:00a.m. to 3:15p.m. Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
Any person who, immediately before the making of the above Vesting Order, had any estate or interest in or right in respect of the derelict site acquired may apply to Kildare County Council, no later than twelve (12) months after the making of the said Vesting Order, for compensation in respect of the estate, interest or right.
SCHEDULE
Description of the Derelict Site proposed to be acquired
ALL THAT AND THOSE A derelict site comprising a two storey mid terrace premises and surrounding land at The Bargain Store and Tattoo Shop, Station Road, Kildare Town, Co. Kildare containing 0.0136 hectares or thereabouts. The said property and surrounding land is in a state of dereliction. The said derelict site is more particularly shown outlined in red on map bearing reference 24-034 and is entered on the Derelict Site Register established and maintained by Kildare County Council under Section 8 of the Derelict Site Act 1990 being all the property comprised in the Register of Deeds Co. Kildare.
