Proposed Extinguishment of Public Right of Way
On A Section of the R148, in the Townland of Collinstown, Leixlip, County Kildare
(Under Section 73 of The Roads Act, 1993)
Notice is hereby given that Kildare County Council in pursuance of Section 73 of the Roads Act, 1993 proposes to make an order extinguishing a public right of way on a section of the R148 between junction of the L1014, Kellystown Lane and the T-junction of the R449 and the R148, in the townland of Collinstown, Leixlip, County Kildare.
The map detailing the extinguishment may be inspected for a period of one month from the date of publication of this notice, (until Saturday, 30 August 2025) at the following locations:
Kildare County Council, Transport, Mobility & Open Spaces, Level 4 at the address below (during Council opening hours from 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday to Friday)
And
Leixlip Library, Captain's Hill, Newtown, Leixlip, Co. Kildare, W23 WR96 (during Library opening hours: https://kildarecoco.ie/library/Libraries/Leixlip/)
The map will also be available to view on Kildare County Council’s consultation portal at:
Objections/Submissions or representations may be made in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility & Open Spaces, at the address below or by email via our consultation portal on or before 5:00p.m. on Saturday, 13 September 2025.
Any person making an objection or representation within the foregoing period may make a request, in writing, to state their case at an oral hearing to be conducted by Kildare County Council for that purpose.
